Food stylist Rick Ellis bakes and decorates gingerbread cookies with colorful icing and sugar for Visions of Sugarplums. The smell of gingerbread in the studio put everyone in the holiday spirit.

I carefully arrange pounds of candy canes, gummy fish, jelly beans, and cookies on a sheet of glass. A computer monitor is used to view how the digital camera will capture the scene.

The camera captured a blue background which was isolated and removed using Photoshop and a new background of blue, pink, and yellow was "airbrushed" using the computer.
